Over the next few months Google will be shutting down the following 10 services and the developers on these projects will be moved to other Google products. Some of these may be familiar others may not be. The Google services that are shutting down are: Google Aardvark, Google Desktop, Google Fast Flip, Google Maps API for Flash, Google Pack, Google Web Security, Google Image Labeler, Google Notebook, Google Sidewiki and Google Subscribed Links.

So what where these Google Services?

Google Aardvark
Google Aardvark was an experiment in a new kind of social search website. Google Aardvark users submitted questions and the website either connected users live via an instant messenger or via email with one or more experts who could help the person answer their question.
Google Desktop
Google Desktop was a software you could download that would index files on your computer for you to be able to find them easily whilst allowing you to download applications such as clocks and notepads to you computer and allowed you to search through your emails all from your desktop and without having to go on line.
Google Fast Flip
Was an application that let you view content on line as if you where flicking through a book or magazine.
Google Maps API for Flash
This allowed flash developers to intergrate Google maps within their flash applications however if you still use it and are a premier customer:
"Although we’re deprecating the API, we’ll keep supporting existing Google Maps API Premier customers using the Google Maps API for Flash and we’ll focus our attention on the JavaScript Maps API v3 going forward."

Google Pack
Google Pack was released in 2005 to make it easy to download a plethora of applications including Google Picasa, Google Earth, Skype and Real Player to name a few.
Google Web Security
Google Web Security protected organizations of all sizes against malware, web attacks and helped to provider a safer and productive use of the web. Google will still be supporting it's existing Google web security customers.
Google Image Labeler
Google Image Labeler was a game to help people explore and label images of Google Image Search to help improve the quality of Google's image search results.
Google Notebook was an online application that allowed users to organize information while conducting research online. Google Notebook permitted users to clip images, text, write notes and save links from pages during a browser session.
Google Sidewiki
Google Sidewiki was a browser extension that allowed annotation of websites. It allowed anyone to make and view comments about any website which could be read in a sidebar.
Google Subscribed Links
Google Subscribed Links enabled web developers to create specialized search results that were added to the normal Google search results on relevant queries for their users.
