SpecNet Limited are a small family run business. Robert and Amanda Phelps started life as computer contractors working for large companies, such as Rolls Royce, British Rail, The Environment Agency and Transco.

In order to promote our business we decided like many that it was time to have a website. Being computer professionals we thought no problem we can do this. But in practice couldn't believe how much time it actually took to get the code together to produce a web page, find a reliable host, tackle search engines and sort out a domain name, especially as our domain name had already been registered.

On completion of our own website, it placed a big question in our minds. In today's market place with the ever increasing use of the internet, how on earth do other small business like ourselves produce their own websites?

It was at this point our own business took a major turn. From our own experiences of publishing our own website, we have now found ourselves in a unique position to offer help to other new and small business in presenting themselves to the rest of the world through the internet.
